The history of our Hotel Kronenhof in Oberstaufen, located in the beautiful region of Allgäu began more than 50 years ago in 1969. The grandfather converted a farmhouse into a small guesthouse with spa facilities and right from the beginning the priority was the well-being of the guests. The Original Oberstaufen Schroth Cure was offered from the first day onwards in the Kronenhof, to improve the health of the guests. This was furthered 30 years ago when the first large indoor hotel swimming pool was built in the Kronenhof in Oberstaufen!

„I collect herbs for the Kronenhof teas all year round – on our beautiful Allgäu meadow at the hotel and in the woods. I have always been fascinated by how much good the nature can do through our nutrition. That is why I studied nutritional science and I like to pass on my knowledge to the guests in lectures and in private consultations. We have repeatedly experienced great health improvements in our hotel and this motivates us to continue to follow our ideals, day after day." Monika Aigner

Faithful to the philosophy
We have always had in a personal, family atmosphere in our hotel. Our members of staff and ourselves regularly take part in the Schroth Cure. We also like to be close to our guests so that we can see what our guests like and also understand what personal wishes they still might have. That is how we've enhanced the Kronenhof bit by bit over the years. In all our renovations, extensions and loving details the essential core has stayed the same: our link to nature, traditions and from person to person.
With the power of nature
We are so spoilt and lucky to have such spectacular countryside in Oberstaufen. In our opinion it is the most important ingredient for a holiday with an equal amount of deep relaxation and adventure.
You can enjoy the countryside to your hearts content and you can enjoy it actively, due to our fantastic location with an abundance of cross-country ski tracks and hiking paths.
In the future as a family-run hotel
We are glad that our son Johannes has inherited our love for the Kronenhof. He is doing a training in Hotel Management and is studying Tourism Management, at present. He is already available as a certified tennis coach if you would like to improve your game!
